Crystal Sun Slot Review
Take a trip around the galaxy as online slot game developer Play’n GO return with Crystal Sun, a game set in outer space. The game consists of 5 reels and 10 paylines. Fear not – while space is the final, undiscovered frontier, this game will be familiar to slot players. Crystal Sun is a feast for the eyes, with different planets making up the game’s symbols. Beautifully rendered, this game is ideal for players that want something nice to look at as they play.
The Game Design of Crystal Sun
Crystal Sun is a standard game in terms of layout: players will find a 5 reel, 3 row, and 10 payline slot. The cosmos is the theme of the game, with the game set in outer space. There are 5 gemstones in-game, and a lucky Red 7 and a bar. The bar is the most rewarding symbol in the game. You can win 4x, 8x or 16 your wager if you get 3, 4 or 5 during a spin across a payline. The game’s wild symbol is a star, and it can replace all symbols. Stars in Crystal Sun come 1x, 2x, and 3x variants as well. Wins can be achieved in both directions: left to right, and right to left.
Gameplay in Crystal Sun
Gameplay in Crystal Sun is normal for an online slot game, but there are some things to watch out for. The wild only lands in the 3 inner-most reels (2, 3 and 4). When this occurs, the wild will expand and take over the whole reel. Doing so unlocks the Wild Respins feature, which rewards players with a free re-spin. Landing another wild also gives players a respin. Players can achieve as many as 3 unlocked respins, and potentially 3 expanded wilds. Finally, multipliers are introduced which can give players anywhere as high as 9x their original wager!
Crystal Sun Features
Our Verdict
Crystal Sun is a visually sumptuous game, with the graphics really striking a chord with this reviewer. The sound effects reflect the tranquility of the open void that is space, and are actually quite relaxing for a slot game. The special features are quite minimal, with only the Wild Respins feature worth writing home about, but even still, it’s quite an average feature. Despite it lacking in this department, I’d still recommend giving it a try simply for the stunning visuals!
